The Big Picture: How We Win
In order to win we need to decentralize Gab. In order to do that we need to make it very easy for any of you to be able to set up your own Gab Social server. Currently it’s very technical, but soon we will be making it just a few clicks.
First we need to finish polishing the core Gab features: groups, editing, quote posting, additional UX improvements. This won’t take long.
Once done we will start working on a quick and easy way for anyone to make their own Gab Social server. To be clear not everyone needs to do this. Not everyone will want to. Most of you will be fine with just using your Gab account as normal.
But if we have even a few thousand Gab Social instances it will be a gamechanger for social networking. Imagine an Infowars server, a Breitbart server, a Tim Pool server. Each of them sets their own rules. Each of them markets to their own audiences. Each of them can be followed by all of Gab and by all of the Fediverse.
There’s no one central authority telling them what to do or how to do it, not even Gab. That’s a big deal.
I’m trying to communicate just how big what we are doing here is in the most simple terms so that everyone can understand.
This is going to change everything.
You can’t stop the signal!
