@MarSolRivas tells us that today is World Upside Down Day, so here’s an upside-down three-wheeler. For this I thought I would choose a three-wheeled car I suspect might be more likely to end up on its roof than today’s electric Morgan, so the Reliant Regal van it is.
As I mentioned yesterday, Morgan began producing three-wheelers again in 2011, after a hiatus of almost sixty years. One off-shoot of the revived three-wheeler programme was this, the prototype all-electric EV3, which I snapped at Fully Charged Live at Silverstone in 2018. Sadly the project was cancelled later that year. Another electric three-wheeler tomorrow.

PS Doing this sequence of three-wheeled cars has reminded me of this great book by my friend @quillerrees. It features over 1,100 three-wheelers, so I think it could fairly be said to be exhaustive!
Today we’re sticking to the theme of old British three-wheelers with this, the 1935 Morgan Super-speed, snapped here at the #BritishMotorMuseum. Note the Harley-style V-twin engine. Morgan’s designs were informed by the insight that three-wheeled cars are more stable with two wheels at the front and one at the back rather than vice versa. If only someone had told Reliant. The Morgan three-wheeler line lasted from 1910 to 1952, but was revived in 2011.
