@[email protected] K3(Current Generation) is discontinued in korea, and K4 will not be launcing in korea.
K4 is new generation of C-segment sedan of KIA.
just not launched in korea, still selling in US.
@maka Oh, you can understand English?
That's very helpful.
I misunderstood K4 means current model of Kia Forte in Korea.
Thank you for your point.
Are C-segment sedans not so popular in Korea? Did compact SUVs take the place of them?
poor english
@[email protected] yes.
actually, Hyundai Kona and Kia Niro(B-segment SUV) taked place of C-segment sedan like Avante(Elantra) and K3(Forte).
these SUV has almost same wheelbase as Avante, and also have a electrified powertrain.
currently koreans are preferr crossover SUVs more than sedans, and almost every demand of C-segment has moved to B-segment SUV like Kona and Niro.
Avante(Elantra) has a high-performance model(Avante N, like Honda Civic R, VW Golf GTI, Toyota GR Corolla), but K3 is not.
demand of high-performance will going to Avante N, but almost every other demand is going to Crossover SUVs.
@maka My English is poor too, no problem.
If you tried to write in English, feel free to use Korean. I'll use translator.
I thought Korean people loved sedans so much. But, SUVs changed that situation.
Almost same situation is happening in Japan.
@[email protected] as least 2015, demand and prefer of sedans are higher than SUVs.
but currently, most of sales of sedan is pointed to E-segement sedan like Hyundai Grandeur, Kia K8, Genesis G80.
yes, these E-segment sedans has no replacement. almost over the half of demand is demand for E-segment sedans.
situation changed, and sedan is falling down in current situation.
