@thegibson I could write a bash script to upgrade to the latest version from whatever they're on, but what's the point if the admins aren't paying attention or aren't interested or whatever leads to being so far behind

Remember that 2 years anniversary of Mastodon blog post? I put a time table of most notable features in there: https://blog.joinmastodon.org/2018/10/mastodons-2-year-anniversary/

So servers that are on 1.2.2, that version came out in April 2017. Imagine how much stuff they're missing, to say nothing of performance and security fixes

I feel a bit sad now 'cause I saw there are still some Mastodon servers with versions below 2.0 out there. I don't know how to help them...

さくらインターネットのスタートアップスクリプトを使ってインスタンスを作成された鯖缶さん、SidekiqにNoMethodError: undefined method `end_with?' for nil:NilClassのエラーが積んでいる場合、もしかしたら.env.productionのVAPID系の二項目が未設定（項目なし）になっていないでしょうか？設定することでエラー出なくなりました。

方法は、
RAILS_ENV=production bundle exec rake mastodon:webpush:generate_vapid_keyで生成して代入してください。
