Запустил обновление #OpenWrt сидючи через его Wifi по ssh. Закономерно что wifi сеть отвалилась нафиг, когда пошли обновляться пакеты сетевые. Думал кирпич получу, ан нет, OpenWrt сдюжил и таки дообновил всё. Вот что большой таймаут на ссх животворящий делает!

Moved instance, so time for a new #introduction!

I'm Alex and I have a PDA problem.

In 2018, after 16 years of using various #Psion portables, I decided to try my hand at developing hardware and software for my beloved Series 3c to help me with journalling and creative writing.

6 years and repeated sidequests later, I've ended up doing a lot of research into the SIBO/EPOC16 platform, and done my best to document it when I can. I've also nudged former developers into open sourcing their old Psion apps.

My current main projects are:

#PsiDrive, an #RP2040-based USB drive for SIBO SSDs.
Rewriting the Psion SIBO (16-bit 8086) C SDK, including updating the docs (with #AsciiDoc) and rewriting the original DOS tools as FOSS apps. I'm currently using #FreePascal to create a drop-in replacement for #CTRAN, the Psion OO C preprocessor. (I want to eventually write a new compiler targeting EPOC16. Eventually.)
Anything else that tickles my bouncy brain.

Outside of #retrocomputing, I'm your common-or-garden British nerd. I'm a Linux user - mostly Arch, but I dabble with others. I also like a bit of #HaikuOS and I'm planning on giving #FreeBSD a go very soon.

I used to be a senior computer monkey, specialising in on-prem SME infrastructure (I lament the loss of vSphere). Now I train others to become computer monkeys (for better or worse). As a result, sometimes you'll see me wrestling with old Cisco ASAs, Ubiquiti APs, or modded kit running #OpenWrt.

Generally, I like making things do stuff, especially if it's stuff that the thing wasn't originally designed to do.

Сделал первый подход к настройке #VLESS на роутере с #OpenWRT. Делал по вот этой статье.
Sing-box установился без проблем.
Взял конфиг из статьи и вставил данные своего VLESS-сервера. Конфиг взял тот, который скачивает файлы GeoIP и Geosite.
В /etc/config/network прописал интерфейс прокси.
В /etc/config/firewall прописал зону и правило форвардинга.
Перезапустил сеть /etc/init.d/network restart.
Проверил конфигурацию sing-box check -c /etc/sing-box/config.json.

Запускаю. Судя по логу файлы GeoIP и Geosite скачиваются. Но через несколько секунд получаю Killed. В логах ничего.

Как обычно, зашел в тупик. Пойду кофе выпью.

А прикольно. Если выпустят, возьму потыкать)

Siempre he tenido el hobby de administrar servidores. Y con el #Fediverso he visto otra oportunidad de retomarlo. Os presento la máquina dónde está alojada esta humilde instancia.

Un #ODroid HC4 de 4 núcleos y 4 GB de memoria con disco #SSD. Lo de al lado es mi router con #OpenWrt (con #Wireguard y #Adblock )

Para complementar también tiene un servidor #torrent con #Plex para ver en el #Chromecast . Todo con #Docker.

@localish I probably wouldn't buy a hotspot like that (Cloudflare patron or not). I would prefer to buy a hackable router (#ddwrt or #openwrt) w/a USB port & GSM modem. Then I would install a Tor gateway on the router so that all wifi traffic would automatically be routed over the Tor network.

So I've done that, booted up #OpenWrt and @opensuse on the #Nezha #RISCV board via #oreboot and #LinuxBoot .

Now that's even being advertised with. :D

Le ping de 2-3s vers le #raspberrypi de l'imprimante c'est beaucoup trop.

Je vois pas trop comment faire sans dépenser d'argent... J'ai quelques routeurs sous la main avec #openwrt dessus, mais ça risque d'être overkill de s'en servir pour ça.

J'ai reçu mon #routeur aujourd'hui, un archer C7 .
C'est un v4, et il n'y a pas de version stable d' #openwrt pour lui.
Obligé de passer par un #snapshot.
A moins que je trouve un équivalent sérieux à ce firmware.
